Fly Agaric Amanita muscaria

Thanks to Phil Riches for collating the series of photos from Bicknor Wood and thank you also to Geoff Dann whose expertise was called upon to identify them.  Whilst some species of fungi can be seen all year round, spotting them is most productive as an autumnal occupation.

Sulphur Tuft Hypholoma fasciculare

Thus far, we have only included the capped toadstools and mushrooms. There are plenty of bracket fungi and slime moulds to be seen in the wood and we hope to include them as our own knowledge increases or more time becomes available to our expert identifier.

Veiled Poisoncap Hebeloma mesophaeum

In the meantime, enjoy the selection and be careful what you touch.
